The Letter A

Every word you’ve ever spoken started with learning the alphabet. Every novel, every love letter, every constitution, every text message — they all trace back to someone, somewhere, learning the first letter.

Krishna says: I am that first letter. I am the starting point that makes everything else possible.

Think about the first line of code you ever wrote. The first chord you learned on guitar. The first sentence you read by yourself as a child. None of them were impressive. “Hello World” doesn’t win programming awards. A shaky open chord doesn’t fill a concert hall. But without them, nothing that came after would exist.

We glorify mastery and overlook beginnings. We celebrate the finished product and forget the awkward first draft. But Krishna is saying: the most sacred part might be the start. The moment of A before you get to Z. The willingness to begin when you don’t yet know where it’s going.

And then there’s “inexhaustible time.” Time is the one resource nobody can manufacture, hoard, or reverse. Every moment you’re in has never existed before and will never exist again. That’s not a poetic exaggeration — it’s literally true. The fact that you’re reading this sentence right now, in this specific arrangement of seconds, is unrepeatable.

The letter A. The first step. This exact moment. They’re all the same invitation: begin. Pay attention. This is where everything starts.
